Wood-N-Nichols is a family owned and operated business. Tom and DeEtta Nichols started the business in the late 1980’s.  Prior to opening the company, Tom graduated from San Diego State University in 1979 with a Degree in Journalism.

 After a brief career in Television Broadcasting as the Sports Director of the CBS – Bakersfield affiliate.  Tom worked as a substitute teacher and coach before embarking on his flooring career.

 DeEtta Nichols learned her clerical skills at the University 0f North Dakota School 0f Science.  She subsequently shared her knowledge with daughter, Monique Lazaritt, who helps Wood-N-Nichols with administrative duties.  In 2004 DeEtta passed from cancer, and now gives guidance form above. 

Eddie Nichols runs the Wood-N-Nichols show room daily.  He also assists with job organization, preparation and providing excellent customer service to all of our Wood-N-Nichols clientele.  Ed gained much of his expertise after capitalizing on the Las Vegas construction boom.  Chris Nichols has joined the Wood-N-Nichols flooring crew in 2005, and prides on helping his Uncles with the family business.

Wood-N-Nichols flooring crew has grown, but we are still fortunate to keep our long time, faithful employees who helped make Wood-N-Nichols such a lasting success.  Many of these employees have worked for
Wood-N-Nichols for the past 16 years, proving to be loyal, dependable and expertise craftsmen.
